We went to San Marcos yesterday, about an hour north of San Antonio. Carol has a tradition of doing her Christmas shopping the day after Thanksgiving. True to tradition, she had us at the Tanger Outlet Mall by 9 AM. Our first stop was at Haggar’s, and then we visited a variety of other stores. We got some great bargains, but what impressed me most was the courtesy of the sales people. In spite of mobs crowding the stores, they outdid themselves to be helpful but not intrusive.
We had our Christmas shopping done by noon, and I’m thankful for that. Yet it struck me on the way home that outside of Carol’s Christmas spirit, the greatest blessings of the day were the laughter, smiles and good cheer of the sales people! Cheers for them!
