Summer Garden Surviving and Thriving!

July and August have a reputation of being too hot for summer gardens in San Antonio – a time of the doldrums for them. We had many 100+ degree days in July that were certainly challenging. Yet, I’m happy to say that some of our box gardens have not only survived, but are even thriving during this time. Here are a few pictures taken today (August 5, 2018) that confirm this. Of course, one has to be selective in what to plant for this season!
