We just finished a four-day workshop at the Faculty of Health Sciences. Visiting delegates from the USA and several other Africa countries participated. One doesn’t often think of workshops as being exciting, but this one was. The purpose of the workshop was to strengthen our Faculty of Health Sciences, upgrade the Old Mutare Mission Hospital, and develop an effective four-year plan to improve Maternal and Child Health outcomes in Africa. Meharry Medical College, represented by two delegates, contributed greatly. The tie-ins we’re developing with them will be good for both institutions. By the end of the workshop today, we were clearly off to a good start. It was a productive workshop!
