We planted a small rosemary plant in our rock garden three years ago, thinking it might supply us with an occasional sprig for the kitchen. We never dreamed that it would take over the rock garden, but that’s exactly what it’s done. It loves that corner of the yard, and it keeps us supplied with more than enough rosemary sprigs.
Traditionally used to flavor meat dishes, it’s also great in veggie stews, and we love it in mashed potatoes where it provides an added pungent taste that’s wonderful. Oh yes, its loaded with antioxidants, so it adds a great health dimension to food in addition to its distinctive aroma and flavor.
