Weekend Hikes

I enjoy taking longer hikes on the weekends if the weather permits. Last weekend, Emmanuel Z. and I hiked to the new Sangueme Primary School built a few miles from here with the help of the Norwegian government. It was a great hike! I put over 18,000 steps on my pedometer that day, and enjoyed every step. Here’s a picture of the school. It’s in use now during the school term. The next construction phase will add another block of school rooms.Sangueme School
Today, I’m hoping to climb Mount Chiremba with Liberty Z., another friend I’ve known for the past ten years. It will be a good climb, with a matchless view of the Mutasa district when we get to the top. I’ll keep you posted!
