Showers of Blessing

This is officially the rainy season in Zimbabwe. Good rains in December got the farmers’ crops off to a good start, but then the rain stopped. We’ve had beautiful weather since I arrived two weeks ago, but no rain. Crops and gardens were starting to suffer and people were beginning to be concerned about the lack of rain. Today the showers came, and they were truly showers of blessing. They’ve not been heavy downpours, but showers of softly falling rain that have come and gone all day. It looks like we’re into the second portion of the rainy season – and that’s reason for much rejoicing in Zimbabwe!

  1. I so appreciate your updates and sharing life in Mutare. I have visited twice with teams led by Kennedy Mukwindidza. I consider Kennedy and Dorothy Mhondoro my family. Zimbabweans have a enduring place in my heart and prayers.

  2. Good news, indeed!
