Wonderful Morning Walk

I’ve been going for a wonderful walk every morning between 5:15 and 6:00. It’s not a distance hike as I’m simply doing the circuit around the AU campus, but it’s both refreshing and invigorating. Depending on the route I take, it’s usually about one and a half or two miles altogether. It’s cool enough in the dawning day that a wind-breaker feels good. The birds are on the move and actively chirping everywhere. Occasional flocks of snowy white egrets cross the sky gracefully overhead. When I pass the weaver-bird colony in a large tree near the Health Science building, the activity and noise there is almost frenetic. I usually pass around a dozen early morning joggers and walkers, most of them students from the dorms on campus. I also see quite a few smaller kids in school uniforms already heading for their school about a mile away. Schools start early! Unfortunately, I’m not able to upload my pictures today, but my walks are truly scenic!
