When I stepped out the front door this morning, all I could see was a mist surrounding everything. Misty Peak was living up to its name again. It was a cool mist, and my jacket felt good as I started my walk. In spite of the mist, or maybe because of it, the walk was wonderful. The calls of the birds through the mist sounded enchanting, and the coolness of the mist on my face was refreshing. Even though the sun was supposedly rising, I never saw a hint of its shape – only a diffuse light allowed through by the mist. Arriving home after my two-mile walk, I felt invigorated, refreshed, and grateful. What a beautiful way to start the day!
